Part-Time (8-15 hours a week)
Qualifications

Committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.

Agree with and be willing to uphold the Commitment of Care and Competence, Core Values, Statement of Faith, and policies of Caring Families.

Experience in office operations and general management of running an office.

Have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in nursing

Holds a current RN License in good standing with the State Medical Board

Exhibit proficient organizational skill and data entry skills.

Self-motivated, dependable, and responsible.

Cross-trained as back up support for our clients as a Client Advocate, Mentor or Coach.
Essential Functions: Management
-
Review and maintain Caring Families Policies and Procedures, standards of practice, to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies as required by the State of Connecticut
-
Communicate information concerning client care, the center, and personnel activities to Executive Director in an appropriate and timely manner.

Supervise and train all medical staff and volunteers in best practices.

Conduct regular medical staff training meetings to reinforce center policies and offer continual education content pertaining to Caring Families’ services.

Review, update and maintain medical educational materials and resources for client use, and referral lists with the help of the Executive Director

Review and oversee that client medical records and documents are being maintained accordingly per Policies and Procedures measures

Ensure that all medical equipment is being properly operated, cleaned, and maintained.

Manage inventory and ordering of prenatal vitamins, pregnancy tests, and other medical/ultrasound supplies for the organization.
Essential Functions: Nursing Care
-
Provide and oversee and direct nursing care: administering pregnancy tests, comprehensive record keeping, assisting with ultrasound examinations.

Be knowledgeable and comfortable answering patients’ medical questions, educating about reproductive cycles, gestational body changes, STI’s and other matters related to pregnancy and childbirth.

Administer STI Testing which includes administering the tests to clients and preparing and packaging tests in adherence to Standing Orders and Policy and Procedures.

Keep accurate records are maintained and that physician standing orders are in place and up to date.

Help update Caring Families/ patient/family education programs pertaining to pregnancy, breastfeeding and newborn/infant health care and well-being.

Distribution of prenatal vitamins and associated recordkeeping
