Preferred Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related helping field.

Previous Experience with Pregnancy Care Center or ministry is a plus.

Bi-Lingual (Spanish)

Experience working with or supporting individuals as a mentor, counselor, or advocate.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace with the ability to additional Client Management

Software.

Complete the Caring Families Client Advocate Training once hired.

Exhibit skill in interpersonal communication, management, and problem solving.

Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, training and support to the clients and volunteers.

Self-motivated, dependable, and able to carry out assignments with little supervision.

Experience in client care or social services and managing employees or volunteers.
Responsibilities:
-
Oversee the day to day operation of the Women’s Center of Eastern Connecticut and Mobile Care Go Mobile
-
van.
-
Manage the Center’s and Van’s schedule to ensure each shift is fully staffed.
-
Oversee the stock and maintenance of the Baby Boutique for our Parenting Education program.
-
Be a Client Advocate (or complete Client Advocate training) and be able to provide peer counseling, education
-
and options counseling in a compassionate atmosphere.
-
Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding counseling, phone, and office flow through procedures
-
Appropriately follow up with clients according to the policies and guidelines of the center.
-
Be able to personally provide client services in the event that a volunteer is not present.
-
Monitor client satisfaction by evaluating all exit forms.
-
Recruit, train (orientation, in-services, etc.), and supervise all volunteers at the center.
-
Ensure that all volunteers follow all relevant Caring Families policies and procedures.
-
Oversee all client information is accurately and timely recorded into our client software.
-
Assist with database entries and help generate statistical reports as needed.
-
In conjunction with the ED evaluate all volunteers annually or as needed.
-
Assist the ED with creating/revising operational policies and procedures.
-
Assist the ED with connecting with other community service providers and maintaining PRC referral lists.
-
In conjunction with Executive Director update and revise client forms as needed.
-
Maintain the currency and timeliness of statistics and assist with daily database entries as needed.
Public Relations:
-
Participate in Community Events and Outreaches for Caring Families as needed.
-
Participate in Fundraising events as requested by the Executive Director.
-
Participate in meetings with other organizations related to the needs of clients.
Training:
-
Oversee staff and volunteer training seminars in regard to Client Services and Center Policies.
-
Select and interview volunteers to support the organization as Advocates, Mentors, Coaches or general support.
-
Coordinate and assist in arranging regular in service trainings and seminars for the staff and volunteers.
